A Dreamy September Wedding At The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
The Wedding I Will Never Forget...
This stunning September wedding hosted at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is quite literally what dreams are made of. When you first enter the Fairmont grounds you are greeted with the serene backdrop of the Rocky Mountains as well as a surprising amount of majestic Elk. They roam free and you feel like you are in an enchanted dream just by being there. I swear it's the freshest air you will ever breathe and it simply invites you right in.
Claudia and Liz started their day by getting ready separately and then having the most beautiful private vow reading in a secluded and private spot that I scouted for them the night before. I consider myself to be the luckiest person in the world to have been within ear shot of their heartfelt words. I still think about and it makes me so emotional.
We went off sight for their portraits via a shuttle they rented through the Lodge. We went to this awesome little area about ten minutes from the Lodge which I also scouted the day before because I wanted them to have some variety in their portraits. I feel in love with the beautiful birch trees as they had this vibrant pop of yellow in their leaves - I knew we had to do their portraits there. Claudia and Liz leaned into the whole experience which I absolutely loved and we all had a blast together before heading back for their ceremony.
The ceremony overlooked Lac Beauvert with the Rocky Mountains cascading behind it. If Claudia and Liz didn't already take your breath away, the natural sights would have any. Corny I know, but it's so true. Their ceremony was one of joy and tears...mostly from Claudia (ha, sorry girl, I luv yah).
After the ceremony, everyone mingled with some cocktails before heading into the reception space. Their reception was full of antics, laughter and silliness. You know the weddings that just have the best speeches? Banger after banger? Yeah, that was this wedding. The food was impeccable - a truly elevated dining experience. And I have to make a shout out to the band who continued to bring the energy with every single song. My time as a photographer then came to an end after I documented Claudia and Liz lovin' on each other while WAP by Cardi B. filled the entire room. Like I said, antics were had. And I loved it so so much.
This wedding was featured on Rocky Mountain Bride and I am beyond proud of everyone involved to make this day happen.

How Did They Meet You Ask?
I asked Claudia to share her and Liz's story of how they met. Read on to see how their adorable love story began.
“As all great romances do, it started with a simple pair of black knee-high boots and a few too many drinks. In December of 2017, I was beginning my first week working at Williams Lake. I barely knew anyone, as I only worked two shifts before there was a Christmas Party. As the new girl, I wanted to seem cool and appear like I could keep up with the veteran boys. As a result, I remember only half that night. As it is told to me, my night came to an end with the Detachment Commander’s wife holding my hair while I was sick in the bathroom. The wife stormed over and told her husband that he had to get a member on duty to take me home immediately. Up rolled a marked vehicle and what do you know – Elizabeth Lynde – to save the day. Most people meet their future significant other and say their first feeling is of attraction, love, warmth but for Liz when she first met me all she felt was concern. Liz stared in shock as she loaded me, stumbling around like a baby deer, into the back seat of the police car and started driving me home. Halfway there I started gagging and Liz thought ‘uh-oh’ and pulled over just in time for her to open the car door and have me puke down the side of my knee high black boots and onto the sidewalk. This is how I infamously got the nickname ‘Boots’. Liz took me home, and tucked me into bed. The next morning Liz texted me letting me know that she lived a few houses up the street and if I ever needed anything, I could text her. The rest is history.”
